While no one likes to think about the possibility of being attacked, local women can now rest a bit easier after learning some basic self-defense techniques taught by IMPACT, a personal safety and assertiveness training program, held at the Kenilworth Club on Feb. 8.

Lead by IMPACT instructors Molly Norris and Bruce Brio, women were first introduced to basic verbal and physical self-defense tips, then placed into simulated situations with Brio who played the aggressor.
