The Wilmette Village Board voted Tuesday, Feb. 10, to overturn the Zoning Board of Appeals’ negative recommendation regarding new construction being allowed to keep three window wells that require a setback variation.

Fives votes were needed from the board to overturn the decision, and the ordinance will be on the agenda for a vote at the next meeting.

Nick Hynes, a managing member of West Birchwood Development, the owner of the property in question, explained the nature of the request.
