Scott Sanderson, a Glenbrook North alumnus and former Major League Baseball player, died Thursday at the age of 62 reports The Northbrook Tower. 

The 1974 North graduate, who won a baseball state championship his senior year, went on to play for eight Major League teams, including both the Chicago Cubs and White Sox. Sanderson had a successful career with the Cubs from 1984-1989, including his first year with the club where he compiled a 8-5 record with a 3.14 ERA and helped the Cubs with the National League East Division.
