After the Wilmette Park Board made a recommendation on which configuration to move forward with at each park for the stormwater project two weeks prior, nearly 20 residents spoke in front of the Wilmette Village Board on Tuesday, July 23, all in opposition to the park board’s preference of the original configuration at Community Playfield.

Watch residents (including myself), parents and children advocate to save the trees at Highcrest Grove on video archive of the Board of Trustees meeting July 23 (starting at 9:30 on the video) .And please come to our Rally in the Grove Sunday July 28 2-4 p.m. in the Community Playfield behind Highcrest Middle School.

There will be an opportunity to make public comments at the next Park Board meeting, 7:30 p.m. on Monday August 12 and again on Monday August 19 also at 7:30.
