Dining Out: Maria’s Bakery offers Italian cuisine, family feel in Highwood
Photos by Megan Bernard/22nd Century Media The most popular dish, rigatoni Bolognese ($16.95), is made with homemade sauce at Maria’s Bakery in Highwood.
The bakery offers a large variety of fresh homemade Italian and butter cookies.
The chicken limone ($16.95) is topped with mushrooms and comes with a side of spinach, and soup and salad.
The white fish entree ($24.95) has a mashed potato crust and comes with veggies, soup and salad.
The bakery’s cannolis are made to order and offered in two sizes and flavors, pistachio and chocolate.
