While the lunar calendar says that Autumn began on Sept. 22, Wilmette residents know the true start of the season begins when the intersection of Lake and Wilmette Avenue becomes decorated with a sea of orange pumpkins due to the annual Trinity United Methodist Church pumpkin patch.
