NorthShore University HealthSystem confirmed in a statement that a patient at one of the healthcare system’s five hospitals has tested positive for coronavirus, according to our sister paper, The Highland Park Landmark.

The statement said the patient is in stable condition, but did not say which hospital the patient was located at.

NorthShore University HealthSystem is working closely with public health officials and using the most up-to-date evidence and the best collaborative thinking in response to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation,” the statement said.

The healthcare system has hospitals in Highland Park, Glenview, Evanston, Skokie and Chicago.

The hospital has put together a “cross-functional team” according to the statement, that meets daily to review systems, supplies, people and communication aspects.
