The recent New Trier graduate, through her non-profit organization Syd Rocks, will be participating in the this year’s Lolla Cares program at the festival from July 31 through Aug. 2 in Grant Park. Syd Rocks was one of only 10 non-profit organizations nationally chosen for this honor.
Decades of diners reunite with Sarkis

Four local men — two confirmed New Trier graduates — drowned Jan. 3 in an early morning canoe accident on Mill Lake in Walworth County, Wisconsin.
According to authorities, the four men ranged in age from 20-23 years. Two bodies were recovered from the lake on the evening of Sunday, Jan. 3. The search resumed for the other two bodies the morning of Jan. 4 and a third was recovered that afternoon. At press time, the fourth body had not been found. Rescusers returned to the lake on Tuesday morning.
