In 2005, Arielle Nobile started a documentary film company, Legacy Connections Films, as a way to tell the life stories of her grandmothers for the benefit of them, but also to her entire family.

Ten years later, the Wilmette native and 1997 New Trier graduate has conducted more than 250 interviews, in both English and Spanish, for over 100 completed films across three continents. Though she feels confident behind the camera these days, that wasn’t always the case.
